Event Description

Stuart Kelly, author, Literary Editor of Scotland on Sunday and blogger (McShandy’s), and Rosy Barnes, comic novelist and founder member of top UK Literary blog, Vulpes Libris, will be discussing the rise of the book blog and getting their gloves off for a prize fight over Print Reviews versus Online Reviews.

In the chair will be popular Litopia podcaster, Eve Harvey (Waterstone’s Regional Children’s Manager for East Lothian by day). Eve is also a founder member of Vulpes Libris (so not biased then. Oh no no!).

All three will then pool their experiences to discuss issues such as:

» author blogs and how writers are using blogs to get publicity for their work
» the rise of writer online communities
» podcasts/performance and the relation to live literature
and, of course, most important:

» how to create a good blog that attracts lots of readers
Come along and find out more about this exciting part of the literary landscape, what’s out there and how you can join in with the online literary world.

McDonald Road Library, Saturday 27 November, 3pm – 4pm.

Free: to book your place call 0131 529 5636.
