The Friends of the Water of Leith Basin are organising a community clean-up event on Sunday the 26th February at 10am.
Meet at Coalie Park - that's off Corburg St on the right, about 200m down from the Gt Junction St/Ferry Rd/Corburg St traffic lights.
The event will start at 10am and last for a couple of hours.
The plan is to work along from the Sandport Bridge towards the Newhaven Rd bridge and the branch to West Bowling Green St.
The Water of Leith Conservation Trust are providing the clean-up kit - so all the group needs now are lots of willng local volunteers.
Contact Don Giles at fowl.basin@gmail.com for more information.
