Greener Leith is looking for a like-minded individual who would be willing to represent Greener Leith at Community Council Meetings in the Leith Central, Leith Links and/or Harbour Wards. The Community Councils are a relative recent development in community decision making and particularly worthwhile if you are interested in what happens in your local community. Community Councils also have a significant role in planning matters. How much time it would take? They get together about every two months during a weekday evening and then there will be the odd email or report to read. In addition you would be asked to keep Greener Leith up to date with an informal report. The nominations close on the 14th of September 4pm, so, if you are interested please get back asap.
