The Pilmeny Development Project is recruiting for two part-time jobs to help set-up the Leith Time Bank. Here's what it says on the job advert:
Time Bank Development Worker
8 hours per week
AP4 SCP 27 (pro rata) £21,861
Administrator
4 hours per week
£6.50 per hour
Purpose: To assist in the establishment of Leith Timebank.
Time Banks link local residents, to exchange time and skills with each other. Members voluntarily carry out work for each other and earn “time credits” in return. These credits can be exchanged for other member services. The post holders will assist in the development of a Timebank in the Leith community. Initially, the focus will be on older people and their carers.
The successful candidates will have proven people skills, ability to undertake a wide variety of tasks and a “can-do” attitude.
The posts are funded initially until the end of March 2013.
