If you're interested in finding somewhere to grow vegetables, there's two new sites focussed on Edinburgh that you might be interested in.
First off there's Edinburgh Garden Share. This is a project that's run by Care & Repair and it does what its name suggests. It puts garden owners who are having trouble maintaining their gardens in touch with people who are keen to get gardening. The web address is:
http://www.edinburghgardenshare.org.uk
Secondly, we see that the Edinburgh Community Backgreens Association have also set up a social network - a bit like this one - that aims to link up everyone in Edinburgh who is interested in growing vegetables. Greener Leith is already a member! The address for the Grow Your Own Edinburgh site is:
http://growyourownedinburgh.ning.com/
Of course, if you're keen to grow veggies in Leith - we'd love it if you'd consider volunteering for one of the existing community gardens in Leith. There's one in Redbraes and one at Persevere.
Contact us, if you'd like to find out more.
