Hello Food Group and Foragers, Thank you very much for coming to the Foragers' Talk last night given by Xa Milne, co-author of Seaweed and Eat it. She mentioned Wild Garlic, a plant that grows locally near rivers that we can start looking for in the next month, so I thought an image would be useful:

It has quite a strong garlic taste and is particularly good made into pesto to eat on pasta or gnocchi, or rubbed into a leg of lamb that you're roasting. More foraging comments - locations, what's ripe where - always welcome.

Hi. I phoned my dad today and he thinks he has the recipe for nettle beer and is going to send it. Think it is done with yeast and sugar from what I can remember. Thanks for last night and will look forward to 'going foraging'. Linda Rodgers
