Just read on the Water of Leith Conservation Trust website that the proposed Anthony Gormley sculptures in the Water of Leith have been given the go-ahead. Despite some disgruntled local voices at the prospect of 6 rusty naked figures in the water, apparently because they are not engaged in any meaningful employ such as fishing(!), I think it will be a real boost to Leith as the last 3 will be in spots that until now have not necessarily been connected with visiting art lovers.
